Default Idea for AI; healing/energy management

I wasn't sure quite how to articulate the title but you'll get the idea after you read the post itself.

Heroes (especially hero monks) love to burn off their own energy before it's truly needed. Real monks (usually) won't start healing you until your health drops below a certain level. Why not incorporate this idea into the AI?

For example; the leader of a party can set the percentage of health lost before the AI begins to heal him/her and their controlled heroes/henchmen.

I think this idea could also be incorporated with this:

and expand on that, adding markers for 80%, and 50%.

Even better, why not add an adjustable slider over each health bar? That allows for more personal preference and doesn't limit you to a few digits. The "slider" could either be adjusted via the mouse, arrow and number keys (for more precise numbers).

or you could give your heroes better skills to use so that they have their own energy management...
personally my monk heroes all have mantra of recall, power drain and leech signet (yeah well AI can interrupt stuff for energy pretty well).

I suppose you could easily make them lose energy if you whack on a ton of high cost spells..,

That wouldn't help much. Heroes do overheal with passion, and that could use some adjustment, but there are aspects they can't grasp.

For example, prot spirit, life sheath, and similar spells can prevent hundreds, even thousands points of damage, saving dozens of energy points. But heros can't know who to prot and when, who to allow to die, who to save at all costs.

The only thing that could use a bit of adjustment, is AI being a bit more cautious with overhealing, but above all, better synchronized. AI will frequently double heal same person. Same with rezing.

Compare AI to now and when Prophecies came out. I'm sure the changes aren't done yet.
